WebAug 22, 2024 · 201. Aug 22, 2024. #9. ok, if the bios is reporting 100C after a fresh boot and you've reset everything in the bios to default, then either: 1. CPU cooler isn't sitting right. 2. bios is acting weird. 3. motherboard/cpu sensor issue.

WebSep 9, 2015 · You may be just getting faulty (incorrect) temperature readings. Try this as a test. In the BIOS, there should be a setting for what temperature the computer shuts down to protect the CPU. Set it to 72c, save and exit the BIOS.
